All illi solid gold pieces are crafted in 14-karat gold or higher. This is our baseline — not an upgrade. We chose this standard because it represents the ideal balance between purity, durability, and lasting beauty.

Will my illi piece change color over time?

No. The high gold purity we use resists the tarnishing and discoloration that affect lower-karat jewelry. Your piece will keep its color and its warmth for years without any special treatment.

Do you offer different gold colors?

Yes. Depending on the piece, illi jewelry is available in yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold. Each color is achieved through different alloy compositions — for example, rose gold gets its warm tone from a copper blend, while white gold uses palladium. All options meet our standards of quality and excellence.

Can I request a change to the design of a piece I see on the site?

Is illi jewelry a good investment?

Why does illi jewelry cost what it does?

Because nothing is cut. Every piece is crafted in 14-karat gold or higher, set with certified lab-grown diamonds where applicable, and designed to last without compromise. You are not paying for a brand name layered over ordinary materials. You are paying for the materials themselves, and the craft that shapes them.

Are illi's diamonds real?

Yes. Every lab-grown diamond in the illi collection is a genuine diamond — chemically, physically, and optically identical to a mined stone. They are not simulants like cubic zirconia or moissanite.

What makes them lab-grown?

Rather than being extracted from the earth, our diamonds are grown in a controlled environment that replicates the exact conditions under which diamonds form naturally. The result is the same material: pure carbon, the same hardness, the same fire, with a significantly smaller environmental footprint. Traditional diamond mining requires the displacement of enormous volumes of land, consumes vast amounts of water and energy, and leaves lasting ecological damage in the communities where it operates. Lab-grown diamonds sidestep all of that entirely, requiring no land disruption, no open-pit excavation, and a fraction of the environmental cost.

Can anyone tell the difference between a lab-grown and a mined diamond?

Not without a hyper specialized equipment used by trained experts. Even a trained gemologist cannot visually distinguish a lab-grown diamond from a mined one. They are the same stone.

Are your diamonds certified?

Our larger stones come with certification from recognized gemological institutes, graded on the same 4Cs standard — Cut, Clarity, Color, and Carat — as any fine diamond.

Why does illi use exclusively lab-grown diamonds?

Because we believe that beauty should never come at someone else's expense. The history of mined diamonds is inseparable from the exploitation of local communities: land dispossession, dangerous labor conditions, and wealth extracted from regions that rarely benefit from it. We made a deliberate choice to source no mined diamonds, not as a compromise on quality, but as a commitment to the people and places that have too often paid the price for someone else's luxury. Every illi diamond is grown, not extracted, identical in every physical way to a mined stone, and entirely free of the human and environmental toll that has defined the traditional diamond trade.

For our clients' convenience, we offer free exchanges or returns within 30 days of delivery. illi products must be returned in their original condition with the security seal not voided.
